Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has signed a new contract that will keep him at the City Ground until 2028.
The 27-year-old Nigeria international, who joined Forest on a free transfer in July 2023 after leaving Torino, impressed in his debut Premier League season with his versatility and defensive solidity, making 22 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Aina said:
I am over the moon, I can’t wait to continue this journey with the club. It’s always felt like home ever since I joined and I am happy to be here. Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work.
Forest boss Nuno Espírito Santo is said to value Aina’s experience and adaptability, with the player able to operate both as a full-back and wing-back on either flank.
Aina featured for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, playing a key role as the Super Eagles finished as runners-up.

His contract extension is seen as a strong statement by Forest ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, as they look to build on last season’s survival and push further up the Premier League table.
