Ghana U20 head coach Desmond Ofei says his team is fully prepared for their crucial Group A clash against Nigeria in the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Championship later today at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. Kick-off is at 3:00 PM GMT

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ofei emphasized the significance of the opening fixture, describing it as a key moment for the Black Satellites

Ofei believes the match presents a big opportunity for the Black Satellites to make a strong statement, set the tone for their campaign, and respond to recent setbacks on the continental stage.

. “The first game against Nigeria will set the tone of how this tournament will go. But we are ready .The first game against Nigeria will set the tone of how this tournament will go.

With only three teams in the group ;  Ghana, Nigeria, and Benin  every result will be critical. Ghana will also be looking to settle scores after losing to Nigeria in the final of the previous edition in Togo.

Ofei believes his team is well-prepared and is calling on Ghanaians to back the squad as they begin their campaign on home soil.
