Ghana National Women’s Football Team midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has tagged the upcoming years as a huge one for the development of young players in the team.
The veteran midfielder made these comments after Ghana’s 4-2 loss in a penalty shootout to Morocco in the semifinals of the 2024 CAF Women’s AFCON.
Ghana missed the opportunity to return to the finals of the continental championship since last doing so in 2006 and will fight for the bronze medal against South Africa on Friday, July 25 at 19:00 GMT.
After seeing Ghana miss several chances to beat Morocco, the 31 year old midfielder stated that the loss hurts a lot but described the immediate future of the Black Queens as a huge one for young players in the team to develop.

“The more we play games, the more we develop, the more closer we get and that’s how it is going to get us to the next level and players also pushing each other and working hard to be better. I believe that the next few years will be really huge for the young players that are coming” Cudjoe said.
