Ahead of the Black Queens’ quarterfinal game against Algeria in the 2024 CAF Women’s AFCON in Morocco, Deputy Ranking Member on the Parliamentary Select Committee of Sports, Michael Kwesi Aidoo, has called for support for Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team.
Ghana take on Algeria on Saturday, July 19 at 16:00 GMT with the chance to play against either host nation Morocco or Mali in the semifinals.
He made this call in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports where he promised that the Black Queens will be well resourced and motivated as they campaign in the continental championship and added that (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“We are all supporting the Black Queens. It is always a proud moment watching any national team perform so well”.

“Their last game it was very good and a moment of pride watching how they’ve been playing so I support them fully and I will encourage every Ghanaian to support them. The women are also flying our flag high so we should all support them.”

Playing Algeria is Ghana’s first quarterfinal appearance at the AFCON since 2016.
