Stade Rennes head coach Habib Beye has praised Ghana defender Alidu Seidu for having the aggressiveness some players at the club lack.
He made this positive comment about the Black Stars player in his pre-game press conference as Rennes prepare to play Angers in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday, August 31 at 13:00 GMT away from home.
Two games into the 2025-2026 French Ligue 1 season, 25 year old Seidu has featured in one of the games in the top flight having played 17 minutes in Rennes’ 4-0 loss to FC Lorient.
Seidu recently recovered from an ACL injury that sidelined him for over six months but is back in action and Habib Beye praised the former Clermont Foot player.
“When he joined [against] Lorient, he made his mark with his technique, his ability to quickly relieve pressure, his dynamism and his aggressiveness.”

“Some of our players sometimes lack that extra bit of aggressiveness, but Alidu has it” Habib Beye said.

Seidu wasn’t included in the Black Stars squad to play in FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September.
