Bechem United to decide on GFA Presidential Term vote today ahead of Congress- Gyasi Atuahene

Bechem United Public Relations Officer Gyasi Atuahene has stated that the club will make its decision regarding its stance on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential term limit vote ahead of the GFA Ordinary Congress.

The 31st Congress is scheduled to take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Tuesday, August 12 with a fleet of items set to be discussed ahead of the start of the 2025-2026 season.

Top of the itinerary is the vote on extending the term limit of the GFA Presidency from a to term limit to three terms. Each term covers a four year period and according to the Bechem United PRO in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, the team has made a decision.

“We will have a final meeting on Monday and in that final meeting, we are going to have an agreement or we are going to reach a consensus and whatever that we reach that is what is going to be the stance of the club.”

“I am sure that after the board’s meeting with management, a consensus is going to be reached” he said.

GFA President Kurt Okraku’s eight year term is set to end in 2027.
