French forward Christopher Nkunku has officially joined Italian Serie A side AC Milan on a four year deal for a reported fee of 36 million pounds.
The move was officially announced on Saturday, August 29 as the end of the main football transfer window draws to a close.
Nkunku, who turns 28 in November, ended his two year run with the London club that was marred by injuries and inconsistent form by switching camp to AC Milan.
He joins Milan after winning the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League title with Chelsea; Nkunku scored a goal in six games at the Club World Cup.
In 48 games in all competitions in the 2024-2025 season, Nkunku scored 15 goals and added five assists as the Blues finished fifth in the league.

After starring in the German Bundesliga with RB Leipzig where he won the German Cup twice, Nkunku was named the Bundesliga Player of the Season in the 2021-2022 campaign. He also won the league’s top goal scorer award in the 2022-2023 season.

AC Milan beat Lecce 2-0 after losing its debut game of the 2025-2026 league season.
