Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze’s move to cross town rivals Arsenal Football Club is inching closer as a medical for the creative player has been booked for Friday, August 22.

His purported 60 million pound plus seven million pounds in add-ons move from Palace to Arsenal is subject to the results of the medical that is set to take place at Arsenal’s facility at the start of the weekend.

News of Eze’s potential move to Arsenal comes at a time when Mikel Arteta’s team is dealing with a knee injury to German forward Kai Havertz.

According to Italian football insider Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Palace have agreed a deal in principle regarding the transfer with the Gunners swooping in to beat fellow club Tottenham Hotspurs for the English player’s signature.

27 year old Eze let go by Arsenal very early in his career and spent time bouncing around teams in the lower leagues before breaking out with Palace and becoming a member of the English National Team that had him compete in Euro 2024.

Eze registered 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 games in all competitions in the 2024-2025 season and has played a key role in Palace winning the FA Cup and Community Shield which are Palace’s only major trophies in the club’s history.
