Issahaku’s brilliant long range strike gave Leicester City a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic; Leicester went into the contest having lost two games in a row in all competitions.
Black Stars player Issahaku received a pass from Boubacar Soumare in the 48th minute on the right side of the pitch and after running with the ball into Charlton’s territory, he cut infield to unleash a rocket of a shot that angled into the top corner of the goal.
The goal is Issahaku’s first of the season on his return from a lengthy absence due to an ACL injury picked up in November 2024 while playing in Ghana’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Angola in Luanda.

The win is Leicester’s second in three league games with Issahaku playing 83 minutes while completing 15 of 24 passes accurately and winning six of 15 ground duels in the Foxes latest contest.
