Tottenham Hotspur kicked off their Premier League campaign in style with a 3-0 victory over Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, thanks to a brace from Richarlison and two key assists from Mohammed Kudus.
Richarlison opened the scoring in the 9th minute, converting a low cross from Kudus into the bottom corner. The Brazilian striker doubled his tally early in the second half, once again profiting from Kudus’ clever delivery to slot home from close range in the 59th minute.

Brennan Johnson sealed the win in the 65th minute after Pape Matar Sarr’s through ball sliced open the Burnley defence, allowing the Welsh forward to calmly finish.
New signing Kudus was electric throughout, linking up seamlessly with Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson, and underlining why Spurs fought so hard to bring him to North London.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian finished the match with two assists and a near goal of his own that whistled just wide in the 84th minute.
Despite Burnley showing flashes through Jaidon Anthony and Lyle Foster, Thomas Frank’s side controlled the contest and kept goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario largely untroubled.
The result gives Tottenham the perfect start to the season, with Richarlison rediscovering his scoring touch and Kudus immediately making his mark in front of the home crowd.
