Ghana Football Association Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has stated emphatically that midfielder Thomas Partey will be available and on time for the Black Stars as Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team prepare to compete in upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo invited the Villarreal player in his latest call up ahead of September 4 and September 8 clashes against Chad and Mali respectively at a time Partey is dealing with a legal issue.
Partey is set to appear before a London court on September 2 for the second time after getting charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three women in all and his selection has caused quite a stir but Henry Asante Twum believes Partey will be available to play for Ghana next month.
“I will only reiterate the point the coach [Otto Addo] made to me. I asked him a similar question and his response was clear. He said in a profound way that Henry Thomas [Partey] will be available.”

“I have spoken to him and he will join us on time and he will travel with us to Chad and he will also be available for Mali” Asante Twum said in an interview with Sporty FM.

Partey has featured in both Villarreal La Liga games off the bench this season.
