Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has charged Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club to excel in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Kofi Adams made the call when he visited the club during a training session at the El- Wak Stadium ahead of the game.

Kotoko is representing Ghana in the continental championship this season with the first of a two legged tie against Nigeria’s Kwara United scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 21 at 15:00 GMT.

“It doesn’t matter where you play this game. After all, the Accra Sports Stadium is the place where you beat Accra Hearts to Oak and won the President’s Cup so it means you’ve proven that it doesn’t matter the platform you are on.”

“We are here to let you know that you are the best…don’t fear any other player so you go to the field with the mentality that nobody can defeat you. As the Minister responsible for Sports and Recreation, I want us to go even further and become champions…go and win for us and for yourself” Kofi Adams said.
