2025 World Athletics Championships: Ghana dominates 4×100 Metre Relays to qualify to Finals [VIDEO]

Ghana dominated the field to finish first in its heat and qualify to the finals of the 4×100 Men’s Relay Race at the World Athletics Championships.

This year’s Championships that is taking place in Tokyo, Japan had Team Ghana storm to first place in a time of 37.79 seconds and proceed to the finals.

The quartet of Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu scorched the field en route to setting a new national record.

The Netherlands finished second in a time of 37.95 seconds while host Japan finished third in a time of 38.07 seconds to qualify to the finals.

In a drama filled race, finalists favourites Great Britain and Northern Ireland and South Africa, failed to finish the race leading to their failure to progress to the finals.

In the other heat, Jamaica also failed to finish the race after the anchor leg, Kishane Thompson who won silver in the Men’s 100 Metre event, couldn’t get the baton during the changeover.
