Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised the overall play of his players’ particularly new signings who were brought in this offseason.
He said this in a post-game interview as quoted by the BBC following Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal got goals from recently signed striker Viktor Gyokeres and midfielder Martin Zubimendi who bagged a brace. Noni Madueke, who signed from Chelsea, also played a starring role in the win and Arteta noted this in his statement stating,
“If we hadn’t done that [signed quite a number of players] with the injuries that we have…We’d be in a very different place.”

“We knew that that was the standard of the other teams in the league and in Europe, and you can see that. I’m very happy because it gives us options, it gives us the capacity as well to change games.”

Arsenal bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Liverpool suffered in the previous round. The Gunners take on Athletic Club in the UEFA Champions League next on Tuesday, September 16 at 16:45 GMT.
