GPL: Don’t expect a lot of goals in season opener against Samartex- Vision FC Head Coach

Vision FC head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang has stated that his team’s season opener against FC Samartex 1996 won’t have a lot of goals in the contest.

He said this in a pre-game interview with Vision media ahead of the 2025-2026 season Ghana Premier League opening round of games this weekend. Vision FC take on Samartex on Sunday, September 14 at 15:00 GMT.

Vision FC finished 11th in its debut campaign in the Ghana League while Samartex finished seventh a season after winning the league title in surprising fashion.

Ahead of the new season, Nana Agyemang stated that he was excited about playing Samartex early in the season but added that there won’t be a lot of goals in the contest.

“It’s out home ground, it’s out first game and I know that it’s going to be really really good.”

“We cannot expect a lot of goals in this game because it’s the first game of the season…it is our first home game and we are going to give a very good account of ourselves” Agyemang said.
