Three months after he was sacked from his role as Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Ange Postecoglou, has been named as Nottingham Forest’s Manager.
He replaces the recently sacked Nuno Espirito Santo in the managerial seat for the EPL team that is contending in this season’s Europa League.
Despite delivering a brilliant season with Forest, Espirito Santo fell out with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis and Forest’s Sporting Director Edu.
Postecoglou won the Europa League with Spurs last season before his sack after an injury riddled 2024-2025 season led to Spurs finishing 17th in the league.
Speaking after appointing Postecoglou as Forest’s manager, Marinakis praised the Aussie who is of Greek descent like Marinakis.

“We are bringing a coach to the club who has a proven and consistent record of winning trophies. His experience of coaching teams at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey and achieve consistently all our ambitions.”

“We now must take the right step to compete with the very best and challenge for trophies” Marinakis said.
