Head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has praised defender Jacob Mensah for his promising start to life at Medeama.
Mensah was signed in the offseason as a direct replacement for Nurudeen Abdulai who moved to Albania side Besa Kavaje in the Albania second tier.
Mensah returned to the Ghana Premier League from his stint in China having featured in Ghana previously for Accra Lions.
After working together at Lions before reconnecting at Medeama, Tanko and Mensah’s partnership got off to a great start as Mensah scored in Medeama’s 2-0 win over Young Apostles.
Ahead of Medeama’s home game against Vision FC on Friday, September 19 at 15:00 GMT, Tanko talked about Mensah saying,

“I think Jacob [Mensah] is a very good player. I was with him at Accra Lions before he travelled to China. It’s not coincidence, it’s a process that we worked through the training camps so I hope that it will continue like that.”
