Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz has won his second US Open title and the sixth tennis major title in his legendary bound career; the Spaniard clinched his second title in New York in another exciting match against rival Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz, spotting a new low hair cut look in this year’s US Open, recovered from a set down to beat Italian tennis player Sinner in four sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-4.

The win means that Sinner and Alcaraz end the year bagging a pair of major titles as Sinner won the Australian Open and Wimbledon while Alcaraz won the French Open before adding the US Open title.

With the exception of the Australian Open that had Sinner beat Alexander Zverev to clinch the title, the finals of the remaining three tennis majors have been between Sinner and Alcaraz.

Speaking after the match, Alcaraz said it was a privilege to compete on the New York court and described his second US Open title win as super special.

“I want to start with Jannik – it’s unbelievable what you have done in the whole season. This is super special for me. The three weeks I spent here are a privilege. I feel at home and feel the energy and love here” Alcaraz said according to the BBC.
