100 Metre Hurdles world record holder Tobi Amusan has shredded the Athletics Federation of Nigeria for poorly handling the welfare of Nigerian athletes.
She delivered a stinging assessment of the federation ahead of competing in the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Amusan, whose record of 12.12 seconds clocked at the 2022 World Championships in Oregon, USA, is one of the biggest names in the sprint events but has expressed gross displeasure over the Nigerian Athletics Federation’s treatment of the nation’s athletes.
In a viral video on social media, the 2022 World Champion complained about the inadequate gear handed over to athletes competing in the competition.
“This country will embarrass you” she was heard stating in the video as she complained over her gear folded into a simple pack in comparison to other nations who handed more running gear to their athletes.

28 year old Amusan is scheduled to run in the 100 Metre Hurdles Women’s Heat on Sunday, September 14 at 11:05 AM. Scroll down to watch Tobi Amusan’s video in comparison to an American athlete’s gear
