Chelsea FC assistant head coach Willy Cabalero says emotions got the better of Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca while celebrating the Blues’ late winner against Liverpool.
Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 courtesy an Estevao goal in the 96th minute prompting Maresca to sprint to the corner flag to celebrate with his players.
His celebration led to a second yellow card for the Italian leading to his dismissal from the game; earlier in the exciting game, Maresca was booked for clashing with a Liverpool assistant while reacting to a decision by referee Anthony Taylor.
Speaking in a post-game interview after the tough win, Caballero said the incident is something the team can learn from.
“It’s something special for any manager, no manager can hold inside what they feel. Unfortunately for him he was already on a yellow.”

“We are all human beings. We have been players, we love to see that. For sure all of us we can learn from that as well” Caballero said to Chelsea media.
