Liverpool Football Club head coach Arne Slot has leapt to the defence of star forward Mohamed Salah who has been widely criticised for his performances this season.
33 year old Salah has made 12 appearances in all competitions and registered three goals and three assists in the 2025-2026 season on the back of sweeping all awards in the English Premier League last season including winning the Player of the Year Award and Golden Boot Award.
However, the Egyptian icon has started the current campaign slower than expected but in a pre-game presser, Slot defended his veteran winger stating to the BBC,
“Players miss chances and he is a human being. We are not used to him missing chances. The main thing is that he always has scored goals for Liverpool.”

“The last thing I worry about is Mo scoring goals again. He’s done that his entire life and I expect him to do that again in the coming weeks and months.”

Liverpool take on Brentford away from home on Saturday, October 25 at 19:00 GMT and head into the game with three straight league losses.
