Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has returned to the Black Stars starting lineup after making a successful comeback from a serious knee injury.

Issahaku suffered an ACL injury during Ghana’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Angola in Luanda in November, 2024 but has recovered to star in Leicester’s EFL Championship campaign.

The former Dreams FC player’s recall to the Black Stars has been marked by a return to the starting line up for Ghana’s game against Central African Republic (C.A.R.) in Ghana’s penultimate 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Wednesday, October 8 at 16:00 GMT in Morocco.

Aside Issahaku’s reintroduction to the starting lineup, the opening unit for Otto Addo’s team remains same from the Ghana side that beat Mali 1-0 to cement its place at the summit of Group I standings.
