Following Albert Amoah’s shock exit from Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, head coach of the club, Abdul Karim Zito says it is time for players at the club to step up in the striker’s absence.

After stating that Kotoko have to recover and face reality after losing 6-1 to Wydad Club on aggregate in the CAF Confederation Cup, Zito urged his players to prove their mettle with Amoah gone. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Albert Amoah was sold to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi for a yet to be disclosed amount officially mere minutes after Kotoko’s heavy loss to Wydad that sparked a massive backlash including one from 2009 Under 20 World Cup winner Saddick Adams. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“We won’t get him so we are preparing the next players to take over and so it is up to the players to also prove that they deserve to be there. Amoah is no more so we should continue with what we have to get what we want” Zito said to the club’s media.
