Chelsea Football Club captain Reece James is sure Joshua Kofi Acheampong will turn his huge potential into something big in the future.

He said this about the England-born Ghanaian who is 19 years old and stands at 6 foot 3 inches after watching him score his debut goal for Chelsea in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

The win condemned Forest to their eighth winless game under manager Ange Postecoglou that led to his dismissal after getting appointed just 39 days prior. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Acheampong powered in a header off a Pedro Neto cross from the left side in the 49th minute to put Chelsea up 1-0 after an unsettled first half display from the London club.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the game that had Reece James score on his 200th appearance for Chelsea, the England defender was effusive about the quality of Josh Acheampong.

“It’s amazing to see, he’s finally playing more regularly. He’s showing the world how good he –Josh Acheampong- is and what he’s capable of, he’s amazing boy and an amazing player, long may it continue. He’s still young, he has a super bright future and he will kick on for sure” Reece James said.
