AFC Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola, has praised Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo for his consistent year on year improvement dating back to Semenyo’s days competing in the English lower leagues.
Iraola said this in an interview with Sky Sports while addressing a variety of subjects in connection to the Cherries ahead of its league game against Fulham.
Semenyo has started the 2025-2026 season on a brilliant note as he registered four goals and two assists in six league outings and Iraola is pleased with the Black Stars player’s output.
“Antoine is someone I would say has been improving every season. Every season he has been with us, he has played better, has added more things to his game, he has also started scoring goals adding numbers to his overall game and we are happy. We try to encourage him to continue this progression” Iraola said.

Semenyo has been included in Ghana’s squad for upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic (C.A.R.) and Comoros on October 8 and October 12 respectively. Scroll down to watch interview
