England’s National Men’s Football Team manager Thomas Tuchel has seemingly fired a warning to Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly over his limited appearances in the 2025-2026 season.
Six games into Arsenal’s league campaign, Lewis-Skelly hasn’t started any game for the Gunners and just made his first start of the 2025-2026 season in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.
After including Lewis-Skelly in his latest call up, Tuchel indicated that the Arsenal player’s place was under threat as he explained why he didn’t include Jude Bellingham in his team. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“It maybe becomes a problem for him yeah. To just be a good citizen in camp will not be enough over the course of a year. He was a very good player in camp, a very good team-mate in camp [last month] but being a good team-mate in camp may not be good enough to stay the whole year with us.”

“You have to perform at club level on a regular basis. The performances [for Arsenal] will be a key factor next month” Tuchel said.

After a breakthrough campaign last season, Lewis-Skelly’s minutes have been affected by Riccardo Calafiori’s run as the starting left full back for Arsenal this season.
