Following the shock dismissal of Ange Postecoglou, Nottingham Forest have appointed Sean Dyche as its new head coach.
The former Burnley and Everton head coach comes into a rocky situation at Forest as Nottingham have already sacked two head coaches even before the half way mark in the 2025-2026 season.
Nuno Espirito Santo and Postecoglou were dismissed from their roles prior to the appointment of Dyche with Postecoglou’s dismissal coming just 39 days after his appointment.
Dyche is a former Forest youth player and earned the nickname “Ginger Mourinho” for his pragmatic style during his long stint at Burnley.
“With his character, tactical acumen and man-management skills, his appointment represents the best opportunity for a successful and competitive season across both domestic and European competitions” a section of the statement of Dyche’s appointment from Nottingham stated.

Forest rank 18th in the English Premier League standings after picking five losses, two draws and a win in eight games.
Nottingham take on Bournemouth on Sunday, October 26.
