Real Madrid have bagged the first El Clasico win of the 2025-2026 season after beating FC Barcelona 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham scored to give Real the win to end a poor run of results in the big game; Real lost all four El Clasico games last season.
In the wake of the big win over their biggest rivals, Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni believes the result will get Real Madrid to do great things this season.
“The whole team played well and we deserved the win. The coach did an incredible job with the game plan. We knew it was a key game and the victory gives us confidence to continue in the League. Both myself and all the players did an incredible job.”
“We’ve only lost one and won all the others. We have to keep it up…and I’m sure we’ll do great things this season” he said to the club’s media.
Madrid have picked up 27 points from 10 games this season and have increased their lead over second ranked Barcelona to five points after the win.
