Manchester City striker Erling Haaland continues to score for fun as he banged in the latest hat-trick in his career despite missing two penalty kick attempts in the same game.
Haaland led Norway to a 5-0 win over Israel by scoring in the 27th, 63rd and 72nd minute respectively to keep Norway in first place in Group I in the European qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Haaland missed two penalty kicks with his first coming in the sixth minute as Israel goalkeeper Daniel Peretz saved his attempt but Haaland retook the penalty as Peretz moved off his line to make the save. His second attempt also ended up in another save from Peretz.
The hat-trick against Israel moves Haaland to 21 goals in just12 games for club and country in the 2025-2026 season; he has 51 goals for Norway in his international career.

Beating Israel keeps Norway six points ahead of Italy though the latter have a game in hand; Norway have 18 points from six games and are in a strong position to top the group and qualify to the World Cup for the first time since 2000.
