  • Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is backing his team’s brilliant run to continue this weekend when the club takes on its biggest rivals FC Barcelona in the first El Clasico in the 2025-2026 season.

The French midfielder made this statement after Real Madrid beat Juventus 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu with Jude Bellingham scoring the game’s only goal in the 57th minute.

Later on Sunday, October 26 at 15:15 GMT, the Bernabeu will host the El Clasico on the back of Real losing all four El Clasico’s last season while conceding 16 goals.

Speaking to Madrid media after the win over Juventus, Tchouameni was happy with the result and shared his thoughts on this weekend’s game.

“We were up against a good team. They defended really well and it wasn’t an easy game for us. It was a good performance. We feel confident we’re going to get goals in games. We did that today and kept a clean sheet”

“We know we have to win whenever we play Barcelona. It doesn’t matter what happened last year. We are well aware of it, and we have to play better. We’re on a great run and we have to show that against Barcelona” Tchouameni said.
