Arsenal FC manager Mikel Arteta says the performances his former teammate at Arsenal Danny Welbeck is putting up is remarkable.
He said this at a pre-game presser ahead of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup game against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, October 29 at 19:45 GMT.
Arteta and Welbeck played together at Arsenal in the 2014-2015 season and 2015-2016 season and won the FA Cup together and Arteta spoke highly of Welbeck who has scored five goals in nine EPL games this season ahead of the contest.
“Very happy for him, we were teammates and the whole history of him, the good and the difficult moments he has had in his career, I think it’s remarkable what he’s doing.”

“The same with the team and Fabian [Hurzeler]- Brighton manager…So we expect a really tough match” Arteta said.

Arsenal head into game having lost just once in the league and hold a four point advantage over second ranked AFC Bournemouth in the standings.
