Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has commended the addition of football legend Abedi Ayew Pele to the World Cup Planning Committee.

The Committee was launched on Wednesday, November 26 as Ghana prepares to compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

The launch had Ghana Football Association (GFA) members led by President Kurt Okraku and Sports Minister Kofi Adams present.

Speaking at the launch, the Chief of Staff called on the embassies of the host nations in Ghana, particularly the United States of America, to aid as many Ghanaian fans as possible travel to the host nations.

“We are not only trying to operate in abstract.”

“If for nothing at all, he [Abedi Pele] has played on the international platform, he has the experience to share with us how best we can be able to present our country on the international stage” Julius Debrah said.
