Head coach of South Korea’s National Men’s Football Team, Hong Myung-bo, isn’t pleased with the performance of his team particularly his midfielders despite beating Ghana.
South Korea beat Ghana’s Black Stars 1-0 in an international friendly game played at the Seoul Stadium on Tuesday, November 18. The winning goal came in the 63rd minute via Lee Tae-Seok’s conversion at the far post.
Speaking in a post-game interview with GFA media, Black Stars head coach Otto Addo said his team had difficulty pressing South Korea high up the field. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
On his part, South Korea’s head coach criticized the performance of his team’s midfielders’ despite bagging a win over the 2026 FIFA World Cup bound African nation.
“Overall, the match did not go the way we wanted it to, especially in the first half. I think we had some problems with our play in the midfield.”


“We made some adjustments for the second half and our substitutes performed better” Hong Myung-bo said according to Yonhap News Agency.

South Korea lost 3-2 to Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
