Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes striker Erling Haaland will improve despite the Norwegian delivering top goal scoring numbers so far in the 2025-2026 season.
In 10 English Premier League games, Haaland has scored 13 goals including the brace he got in Man City’s 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth. The 25 year old has 26 goals for club and country.
Haaland scored in the 17th and 33rd minute respectively with both goals assisted by Rayan Cherki in the win that takes Man City to second place in the standings and six points behind leaders Arsenal (25 points).
Speaking to the BBC after the game, Pep Guardiola praised the former Borussia Dortmund striker and added that Haaland will improve.
“We are so blessed and lucky to have, first of all, an incredible person because he’s the sweetest and kindest and he will improve and after that, as a player the numbers are just outstanding” Guardiola said.

Haaland played at Dortmund for two seasons before joining Man City and returns to the club as Man City take on the German club in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, November 5 at 20:00 GMT.
