Jude Bellingham scored late to salvage a draw for Real Madrid and keep his side atop the standings despite having its lead drop to a single point.
Real Madrid drew 2-2 against Elche away from home and Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso wasn’t happy about the result.
“We’re not happy because we know perfectly well that we always want to win, and when we don’t, we can’t be happy” he said to the club’s media.
One of the biggest talking points in the game was the introduction of star winger Vinicius Jr as a substitute in the second half considering the Brazilian’s outburst in the El Casico.
Addressing the issue, Xabi Alonso shared that Vinicius Jr understood the decision to start from the bench.

“We’d talked about it, as we often do. He understands. He knew the role and the impact he could have. We’d done it before, like in the game against Getafe. He’s still connected” Alonso added.

In 13 La Liga games this season, Vinicius Jr has five goals and four assists.
