After playing for the first time in the 2025-2026 NBA Regular season, Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Jalen Williams said he tried not to do too much in his season debut.

The 24 year old featured in the Thunder’s 123-119 win over the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Cup which is the defending NBA Champions’ 11th win in a row.

Williams played 29 minutes and registered 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the win after recovering from surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist suffered in last season’s NBA playoffs.

Speaking after the game, the 6 foot 5 inch small forward-shooting guard, said his goal for the game was to get rhythm saying,

“The goal for tonight was to get in a rhythm, but it’s an adjustment.”

“Trying to adjust to the physicality now was a little different. A lot of it was just rhythm — trying not to do too much, just finding the spots where I was comfortable five months ago.”
