Tottenham Hotspurs manager Thomas Frank has made a solid claim that Portugal midfielder Vitinha will win the 2026 Ballon D’Or in the wake of the Paris Saint-Germain’s player’s brilliant performance against the London club.

Vitinha finished third in this year’s Ballon D’Or rankings behind winner Ousmane Dembele who also plays for PSG and Lamine Yamal of Barcelona. The Ballon D’Or is an annual award event organized by the French Football Magazine.

Vitinha scored a hat-trick of goals in PSG’s 5-3 win over Spurs in the UEFA Champions League leading Thomas Frank to make the claim about the playmaker while addressing his team’s performance in an interview with TNT Sports.

“Of course it will always be concerning when we concede four and five but…This was more of what I want. Today we competed.”

“Today was a team with soul and character and you need that. Vitinha is the best midfielder in the world. He will be the next Ballon d’Or winner” Thomas Frank said.
