Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil is looking forward to an amazing experience for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team as the Black Stars compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L with England, Croatia and Panama at the group stage in next year’s competition.
Next year’s competition will be Ghana’s fifth appearance at the World Cup and in an exclusive interview on Citi FM’s Sports Panorama, Paintsil says it is sure to be an amazing experience with Ghana playing against elite nations like Croatia and England.
“We have to give everything especially for Ghanaians and the badge. It’s going to be an amazing group stage for us with playing against England, Croatia; we will do whatever that we have to do but we will leave the rest to God and we will see what will happen at the tournament” he said.

After winning the MLS Cup with the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2024 season, Paintsil missed significant time in the 2025 season to injury as the Galaxy missed the playoffs and finished third in the Leagues Cup.

In 25 games, the 27 year old scored 10 goals and added two assists. Scroll down to watch interview
