Black Queens defender Benedicte Simon has stated that it is a dream come true for her to be called to represent Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team and added that she is proud and happy to be with Ghana.

The 28 year old, who plays for Swiss side Servette, was born in France to Ghanaian parents and represented France at the Under 23 level but committed to play international football for Ghana and is set to feature in the Black Queens’ friendly game against England on Tuesday, December 2 at 19:00 GMT.

Ahead of the game, Simon also called on her teammates to be confident in their play against the reigning European Champions saying,

“I’m very glad and I’m happy, for me, it’s an honour…and I’m happy to be here. It was like a dream because it’s been a long time that I wanted to come here. We need to be confident.”
