Black Stars: Antoine Semenyo release clause announced as transfer rumours swirl

Ghana Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has become the subject of several transfer reports after having a strong start to the 2025-2026 season. He has 10 goal contributions (seven goals and three assists) in 15 league games.

The AFC Bournemouth player has generated a ton of interest over his fine performances and has been linked to clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs.

Ahead of the opening of the January transfer window, the release clause for the Ghana international has been unveiled with the price tag set at $86 million according to ESPN.

However, the abovementioned clause is only valid for two weeks in the early parts of the January transfer window with the arrangement set to aid Bournemouth replace the Black Stars player before the window closes.

Semenyo’s price tag is expected to drop significantly should he complete this season with the Cherries who are aiming to make finish among the European qualification spots.

Former Bristol City player Semenyo has generated interest from Liverpool as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah whose position at the club has grown unsettled after getting dropped from the starting lineup for four straight games.
