American boxer Jake Paul has dismissed Terence Crawford over the 38 year old super middleweight champion’s decision to retire from professional boxing.
Paul, a Youtuber turned boxer, questioned the seriousness behind Crawford’s shock announcement about his retirement from boxing a few months after becoming the undisputed super middleweight champion after delivering a stunning win over Saul Canelo Alvarez.
“This isn’t goodbye. It’s just the end of one fight and the beginning of another” Crawford wrote on social media announcing his retirement after picking up 42 wins in 42 bouts.
However, speaking to journalists during a workout as he prepares to fight Anthony Joshua on December 19 in Miami in a heavyweight bout, Jake Paul dismissed Crawford’s retirement by stating,

“He’s not retired bro, you guys have seen this millions of times in boxing. He’s not retired but he’s got everyone talking about him because of that so smart play by Terence.”

Crawford won titles in the welterweight, middleweight and super middleweight divisions in his brilliant career before retiring.
