Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, says he is happy that the club has finally ended a winless run.
He said this after Kotoko beat Dreams FC 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League; prior to the game, the Porcupine Warriors had played four games without a win that included losses to Basake Holy Stars and Hohoe United.
Kotoko bagged the much needed win via a Kwame Opoku strike and the win moves Kotoko to third place in the standings.
Speaking after the game, Karim Zito said ending the winless run will boost the morale of his team ahead of its clash against Eleven Wonders on Wednesday, December 24.
“I’m very happy that we’ve broken the jinx, after four good matches, no win, we were able to win today. It will boost our morale towards the next game. It was a tough game…I’m very happy with the way they [Dreams FC] played” Zito said.

Kotoko’s veteran coach led Dreams FC to win the MTN FA Cup and a semifinal place at the CAF Confederation Cup prior to returning to Kotoko.
