Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi is embarking on the final leg of the GOAT Tour in India with the Inter Miami player expected to arrive in New Delhi to conclude the tour.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi later today in what is sure to be the highlight of his trip to the world’s most populous country.
Messi’s flight from Mumbai to New Delhi was delayed due to foggy weather conditions; Messi has visited Indian cities Kolkata, Hyderabad in the early part of his tour.
However, the Kolkata leg of his tour was cut short as chaotic scenes erupted after angry fans threw bottles and chairs on to the pitch at the Salt Lake Stadium for not being able to see Messi who was mobbed on the pitch by several guests.

The chaotic scenes forced organizers to rush Messi out of the stadium ending the event abruptly.

The GOAT Tour comes on the back of a brilliant season from Messi who won the MLS MVP Award, MLS Top Goal Scorer while leading Inter Miami to a first ever MLS Cup win.
