The 2025 GBSA Goalball National Championships made history in Cape Coast with 15 of 16 regions participating the widest representation ever recorded.

Eastern Region won the men’s title after topping Group D and beating Upper West in the semi-final before defeating Upper East in the final. Upper West claimed bronze. Eastern’s John Arthur was named Best Male Player.

In the women’s division, Volta Region emerged champions after beating Western North in the semi-final and overcoming Ashanti in the final. Western North secured bronze, while Volta’s Peace Awadzi won Best Female Player.

The tournament also served as a talent discovery platform, with several emerging players identified. Regions without equipment received Goalball balls, and outstanding performers were rewarded with new footwear.
