Liverpool FC head coach Arne Slot says it was an easy decision to bring Mohamed Salah back in the squad after the Egyptian’s absence in two straight games after falling out with Slot.
Salah slammed the decision to leave him out of the starting lineup for three straight games and subsequently got dropped entirely from the squad for the outburst.
However, the Egyptian was included in the squad for the EPL game against Brighton and Hove Albion and went on to feature in Liverpool’s 2-0 win as a replacement for Joe Gomez in the 26th minute.
Salah went on to assist Hugo Ekitike’s second goal and the Frenchman said it is a blessing to play with the Egyptian but for Slot, bringing Salah back into the Liverpool fold was an easy decision. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“I think he was a threat. The first ball he touched, he almost made an assist for Mac Allister.”

“He was constantly involved in the fact we had Mo. Pleasing to see but not a surprise. It was an easy decision to put him in the squad. We needed him and he assisted to the 2-0 which is nice for us” Slot said according to Sky Sports.

Salah is set to leave Liverpool in the coming days to compete in the 2025 AFCON with Egypt; the Pharaohs are in Group B with Angola, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
