Ekitike scored twice in the win with the Frenchman scoring in either half to seal Liverpool’s third win in five games in all competitions; Arne Slot’s men drew the other two games.
Salah checked into the game in the 26th minute as replacement for the injured Joe Gomez and assisted Ekitike’s second goal via a corner kick and Ekitike praised Salah after the game saying according to the BBC,

“Mohamed [Salah] is a great, great professional. I look to him as an example. You can see how much he is involved in goals and assists.”

“He is a legend here. To share the pitch is a blessing. That’s the kind of player who makes us like to watch football.”

Salah’s Egypt have been drawn in Group B with Angola, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
