Major League Soccer [MLS] side Nashville Sporting Club have announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi.
The 24 year old Ghanaian joins Nashville on a three year deal that includes an optional year for the team; Woledzi joined Nashville from Norwegian club Fredrikstad.
With Fredrikstad, Woledzi won the league title after joining the club in 2023 from the junior side of Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes.
Woledzi is a Right To Dream Academy product who made 88 appearances in all competitions and was named Fredrikstad Player of the Year Award winner in 2025.
Speaking after announcing the signing of the fast ascending Ghanaian defender, Nashville SC General Manager who doubles as the club’s President of Soccer Operations, Mike Jacobs, stated via a club statement,

“Maxwell [Woledzi] is a tremendous player and leader who will be a great addition to our club. We are excited to be able to add him to our group for the 2026 season.”
