Co-manager of American boxer Deontay Wilder, Shelly Finkel, has stated that Wilder is open to fight two-time undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
However, Finkel added that Wilder would be only open to fight Usyk for the right offer next year with the development increasing the chances of the two fighters facing off.
Finkel’s statement according to Sky Sports, comes on the back of Usyk stating that he is willing to fight the “famous” and “interesting” Wilder next after dominating Daniel Dubois earlier this year. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“Usyk is a great champion. We have plans for next year and we’d like Oleksandr Usyk to be part of them. If we receive the right offer, we would be open to that fight” Finkel said.

Ferocious puncher Wilder has lost four of his last six bouts including two losses to Tyson Fury and a shock loss to China’s Zhilei Zhang via a stunning knockout.

Wilder has 44 wins, four losses and a draw in 49 professional bouts while Usyk has won all 24 professional bouts in his career and has dominated the heavyweight division since moving up from the cruiserweight division.
