Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic has taken the blame for the team’s loss to the Phoenix Suns that ended a seven game winning streak for the Lakers.

The Lakers lost 125-108 to the Phoenix Suns with Doncic registering 38 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in 32 minutes.

Despite delivering another impressive showing, Doncic committed nine turnovers to pace the game in the statistical category; the Lakers as a team had issues keeping the ball after committing 21 turnovers while the Suns committed 11 turnovers.

LeBron James had a poor showing as he registered 10 points and three assists in 31 minutes as the Lakers lost for the fifth time in 20 games. Speaking after the game, Doncic took blame for the loss saying,

“That was my fault. No way I can have nine turnovers in a game.”

“I feel like it definitely was a different defense than other teams [play]. Kind of trying to let me go score instead of creating for others. So, it was kind of confusing, but like I said, just can’t have it” to ESPN.
