Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is ruing another missed opportunity to move into the top four ranked places in the English Premier League standings after his team failed to secure all three points in a winnable game.
The Red Devils drew 4-4 with AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford in an entertaining second half that had five goals in total scored. Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo scored for Bournemouth in a first half display the Cherries trailed 2-1 at half time.
Having lost to Everton and drawn with West Ham at home, beating Bournemouth was essential to Man United’s quest to rank among the top spots in the league midway through the season and in a post game interview with the BBC, Amorim reflected on the latest missed opportunity by stating,
“It’s really disappointing. We are really disappointed. Crazy game. It might look like we lost the two points in the second half but I think we lost them in the first half.”

“It was a good performance but we need to be more clinical because created so many chances.”

“We need to find ways of closing the games because this happened many times. That’s part of the process. We try to do things the best we can but in some moments it’s not enough.”
